Ms. Paulina has extensive experience in business and
government in a variety of roles including technical
writer, communications specialist, and management
analyst. She is proficient at writing,
editing, and communications in biotechnology, information
technology, electronics, telecommunications, manufacturing,
and government. Ms. Paulina has authored
numerous articles for newspapers and other publications
and also prepared the applications that enabled a
Fortune 500 company to win several prestigious awards.
As principal of The Skillful Scribe, a writing and
editing service, Ms. Paulina writes and edits articles,
news releases, technical documents and manuals, website
content, brochure and catalog copy, resumes, biographies,
correspondence, presentations, and award applications.
She performs all stages of editing on book-length
manuscripts and composes promotional copy for fiction
and nonfiction titles.
At the pharmaceutical firm Eli Lilly and Company,
Ms. Paulina served as a technical writer and communications
specialist responsible for providing communications
support to a 600-member project team implementing
an enterprise resource planning system and common
business practices worldwide. Her accomplishments
included creating and producing a weekly electronic
newsletter with global distribution, writing articles
for the corporate news service, and creating multimedia
presentations and written communications for executives. She
also managed an internal company website and compiled,
created, and formatted website materials.
As a technical writer for Harris Corporation Microwave
Communications Division (MCD), Ms. Paulina served
as an internal consultant to the vice president of
operations. She researched and wrote technical
papers, newsletter articles, news releases, executive
correspondence, and video scripts. Her
accomplishments included compiling and editing technical
information for the written applications that enabled
the MCD to win several awards, including selection
of the San Antonio facility as one of IndustryWeek's
Top 25 Best Plants in America for 1998.
Previously Ms. Paulina was employed by the Armed Forces
Institute of Pathology in Washington, DC. As
a public affairs specialist she wrote articles and
news releases on AFIP programs, personnel, and research;
served as assistant editor of the AFIP Letter (a bimonthly
publication for pathology professionals); and provided
liaison between the AFIP and national and international
news media. In the role of management analyst
she managed the records, regulations, and forms programs
for the AFIP; developed and revised medical, personnel,
and administrative regulations; and designed standard
and custom forms.
